Simply put, if you even somewhat like The Flower Kings, you will love this album. The opening cut, Garden of Dreams, is spectacular! Not a disappointing moment on this set. It was all about peace instead of war and love instead of hate. Maybe you've seen the famous photos of anti-war hippies sticking flowers into the barrels of soldiers' guns. Maybe you've seen VW campers with huge flower decals all over them (called hippie buses). You can still spot those campers and other vans cruising around the country -- some of them with old hippies that were young in the Sixties and some with a new age Nineties version of hippie! Music The Sixties generated an enormous amount of music. Lots of rock & roll flower power music, lots of anti-war and political songs. Even if you weren't alive in the Sixties flower power music, you've probably flower power music.

It was founded in late 1962 by Rolf Cahn and Debbie Green (two Cambridge, MA folkies) along with Howard Zeem and Chandler A. Laughlin III (later known as Travus T. Hipp). 31 The Jabberwock was located at 2901 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley and was owned and run by Bill "Jolly Blue" Ehlert. The Jabberwock was home to Country Joe and the Fish as they made the transition from being a jug folk ensemble to a psychedelic rock band. 32 In April 1963, Chandler A. Laughlin III established a kind of tribal, family identity among approximately fifty people who attended a traditional, all-night Native American peyote ceremony in a rural setting. This ceremony combined a psychedelic experience with traditional Native American spiritual values; these people went on to sponsor a unique genre of musical expres
